| Hello all. This week we were out
in Omaha to celebrate the Z-92 birthday bash!! We had an amazing
time!!! We busted out some new songs for the folks in Omaha.
The show was packed with friends, old and new. We spent some
time hangin out with some of our So. Cal homies. It seemed as
though we new someone in every band!! All the bands were great.
The show topper HAD to be the special appearance by none other
than DAVID LEE ROTH himself. "Club Dave" as they called
it showed us some of the stuff that legends are made of!! Diamond
Dave was in top form!! Special thanks to Todd, Tyler, Lynn and
the rest of the Z-92 staff they always take care of us!!! OMAHA
ROCKS!!!!....see you all soon!!!!...reg |

for playing with us at Mulligan's.....and special thanks to the
small town of Canistota, population maybe 800 (all of which came
out to the Street Festival) for showing us that you don't have to
be from a big city to rock! We'll be back!! ....for now it's back
to L.A. to begin writing for the next record......thanks to all
the AP fans that came out to the shows....you guys rule! We all
look forward to seeing you again. Stay tuned.... K.

JULY 12, 2001
Last stop of the tour...here in Sioux Falls,
SD. If anybody's curious about how long it would take to drive here
from Lawrence, KS, during a stage five alert electrical storm towing
a trailer....if you left Lawrence at 2am, you'd arrive in Sioux
Falls around 9am....not bad. Glad some of you got to watch the webcast
from the Bottleneck, I know a lot of you couldn't get it....thanks
to Preferred Villains for playing with us...thanks to super-cool
radio jock Joya for all your support in Kansas....now, clicking
our heels together three times, repeating...."there's no place like
home...there's no place like home...there's no place like..........................."

JULY 10, 2001
So here we are in Lawrence, Kansas...we played
the Bottleneck once before back in October. St. Louis was pretty
rockin'..even though we had some problems with the monitors...it
was all good. Pops is actually in Sauget, IL...population 2001, but
you can see the "arch" right there on the other side of the river......tired
now, bye. K.

JULY 9, 2001
Well...here we are winding down the tour. It's
Monday in Sauget, IL...which is basically St. Louis, MO....and it's
like a steambath outside. We drove all day and night yesterday from
Syracuse, where we had a kick ass outdoor show Saturday in front
of the Dinosaur BBQ, a famous rib joint....big crowd, like 20010...lots
o' bikers...everybody eating pork sandwiches, drinkin' beer and
dancin' in the sun. Thanks to 95X for spinnin' "Kings" and for all
the support! The night before was Philly...rocked the packed little
Khyber Bar...Tidewater Grain played right before us, cool to see
those dudes again! Tonight....Pops! K.

JULY 4, 2001
"....with an INDEPENDENCE DAY for every season".....what
can I say, we ROCKED Indy soooo hard on the 4th...well, I'll start
with us going into Q95 and hangin' with DJ Brian and playin' acoustic...very
cool thing about this tour is hearing "Kings" on the radio! The
gig tonight was pretty classic...an all day 4th of July party right
in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, right in front of the Murat
Theater...where they normally show "Phantom of the Opera".....HUGE
outdoor stage..full production...a couple thousand people celebrating
their independence and stuffin' down bbq beef...4 bands play...then
25-minute super fireworks spectacular from atop some bank tower....ooooohhhh,
ahhhhhhhh, ya know.....then, within seconds of the grandiose finale....AP
takes the stage....and kicks big ass! The people of Indy rock! Best
show this tour yet. We rocked sooo hard, that within moments of
the final hits of "Amphetamine".....the sky opened up like a gaping
wound...pelting all with it's wrath.....yep, it poured down buckets
on our asses.....dudes scrambling to keep anything electronic dry...cats
and dogs living together...complete anarchy! Signed a few wet CD's
and ran for cover. Thanks Indy for a great 4th! See ya again. K.

JULY 3, 2001
Rocked Piere's in Ft. Wayne last night! Really
big, cool club....played there with Days back in October. Thanks
to the cool staff for taking care of us. We stopped by Rock 104
and hung on the air with Doc and Nick....played "Kings" and "Underground"
acoustic....got a bunch of phone calls at the station too.."who
are those guys"?...always good. Tonight Indy, big 4th spectacular
in the downtown streets..complete with fireworks...and AP of course!

JULY 1, 2001
Hey y'all...got a double report for ya, starting
with Charleston, WV, where we rocked the little place known as the
Empty Glass...a very small, sorta cow-punk-abilly type of joint...for
those of you who watched the webcast..maybe you got the idea....really
packed, hot and sweaty night....this place is the real deal...like,
the P.A. ain't so great, so you better be good.....we just turned
our amps up twice as loud and kicked ass! .........next, tonight
was Hot Shots in Lansing, MI....trippy weather in Michigan...really
kinda cold, like 35 degrees tonight..big change from 95 in Charleston
yesterday....so anyways, we drove all night..brutal 12 hours..basically
straight to radio station 106 to hang with DJ Kevin and do an interview
and a couple songs acoustic..."If We Were Kings", etc.....show was
rockin'....TK says best yet...guess we'll have to top it in Ft.
Wayne! Stay tuned kids... K.

busy couple of days starting with a stop off at WRIF and ending
with a day's off twelve hour drive to Albany. Thanks to everyone
that lined up to meet us at the WRIF tent...we musta signed a few
hundred posters! Thousands of motorcycles at this thing by the way.
The show kicked ass...felt great to get up on that big stage and
see AP fans out there....was cool to see the Days of the New guys
again...met the boys in Econoline Crush, cool dudes. Got to hang
with Detroit radio legend Arthur P, who had "Kings" as his "pick
of the week".....big fan! Well, gonna go check out Albany on our
day off....play tomorrow! Till then.... K.

JUNE 22, 2001
8:30am van call this morning...bye bye Chi-town.....much
road construction, multiple pee stops and five and a half hours
later...we rolled into Sterling Heights, MI....just in time to get
picked up by cool Wind-Up radio rep Todd, and taken to WRIF....DJ
Meltdown remembered us from the Creed and 3 Doors Down shows last
year...so we went on the air around 7pm et...talked about the big
show tomorrow at Freedom Hill...played "Underground" acoustic....then
they spun "If We Were Kings"....or better known in Detroit as "If
We Were Wings".....c'mon hockey fans.....Detroit Rock City! K.

in-studio at WRIF tomorrow night at 7pm..listen in! It'll be cool
to see the Days of the New guys again....also on the bill Saturday
are Kenny Wayne Shepard and Econoline Crush. Stay tuned.... K

What's up y'all? Greetings from South Milwaukee!
Gettin' here was an all night, nine hour drive from Omaha....kinda
brutal, but it's all good. Rocked the Ranch Bowl last night...for
the 2nd time. Tonight it was the Globe...an early all ages show....AND
it was Reggie's bday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO REG...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO
REG...HAPPY BIRTHDAY REGITO....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOOOOOO REGGG....well,

Wichita rocks!!!....Thanks to all our new friends
at Camelot Music and to all the fans that showed up...even the kid
that flipped us off...signed a whole stack of AP posters. Also,
thanks to Jimmy and Tom for hangin' with us and tippin' us off on
the good pizza joint in the food court. We also got to hang with
the good radio folks at T95...who spin the hell out of "Kings" and
really pushed the show tonight....what's up Mike, Mary and Joya....and
Factor 8 that opened the show! Oh yeah..we played Tulsa the other
night...we rocked, but I'm not sure if the crowd there was expecting
us...kinda conservative Dockers kinda crowd...pretty weird..oh well....it's
really late..just got to our hotel half way to Omaha...'til next
time. K.

JUNE 15, 2001
24 hours from L.A. to Austin...and we drove
it straight! Hardcore. Got here yesterday afternoon....went out
to Lucy's last night and watched cool local band Endochine. We dig
Austin...lots of music and art and crazy people in the streets.
Had an action-packed day today...starting at 7am playing acoustic
on the Dudley and Bob morning show on big Austin rock station KLBJ.
We did "Kings" and "Bleed" and joked about tattoos
and stuff....Noah showed everyone his boobs. Then, it was off to
a radio interview/acoustic performance with the guy they call L.A.
Lloyd...very cool. It's like 95 degrees here, but feels like 105
with the humidity...pretty gnarly storm moving in...hopefully we'll
go around it on our way to Tulsa tomorrow. Tonight we rocked the
house...first show of the tour....at Lucy's. Got to debut new song
"This World" in the set...also, got to hang with the totally
cool dudes in Endochine who came out to see us...watch for these
guys. Thanks to Chris for havin' us....we're having a good time...nice
to be out again...looking forward to seeing y'all at the shows....see
ya in Tulsa! K.

JUNE 7, 2001
You know you played a great show when the same
6' 5", 300 pound bouncer that was giving you attitude earlier....comes
up afterwards, shakes your hand and tells you that "your band is
totally bad-ass!" Yeah...we rocked the Dragonfly once more. I gotta
say it's gonna be nice to be out playing a different town each night
and seeing y'all. Gonna start packin' my bags......... KR

JUNE 2, 2001
Well....we made it back in one piece.....whatta
trip! We have so many great memories from Tokyo and Osaka....Japanese
fans are great! With the 12 hour flight, 16 hour time difference,
sleepless nights, wasabi and ketchup-train station sandwiches, stand-up
noodle and surprise raw egg joints, massage houses, shoebox-size hotel
rooms with no english TV and late night "Fight Club" style
boxing in the street.............I'd have to say we would definitely
do it again!!! As well, I think we Americans could learn something
from the Japanese about......well, manners. When's the last time you
walked into a McDonald's and were greeted with a "good morning"....by
no less than seven employees.....and then a "have a nice day"
as you left.....this kinda thing happens everywhere you go in Japan.
Another curious thing we noticed was no litter in the streets.....and
at the same time no garbage cans anywhere....go figure? And, not to
mention electronic stuff we probably won't see for years. They rule.
Did I mention how kick-ass our House of Blues Vegas gig was last night...like
20010 people....lots of 'em singin' along to AP! We went into KOMP
92.3 this morning and played "Kings" and "Underground"
acoustically live on the air for Bruce, super-cool rock jock. Well,
we have one show in L.A. before heading out...we look forward to seeing
all of you...and ask you to help spread the word about the shows!
See ya soon. KR
