Pearl Earrings

Pearl earrings are just as widely varied and versatile as other pieces of pearl jewelry. You can find any color of pearls on earrings. Sometimes the selection of colors on earrings are actually wider because only two pearls have to be found to make a set, as opposed to the many pearls that have to match to make a necklace.

Post pearl earrings are very popular because the pearl doesn’t need a fancy setting in order to make an impression. Some posts come with a diamond or other small gem next to the pearl. Round and “button” shaped pearls are the most popular shapes for post earrings.

Dangling pearl earrings are also very popular, although they are more commonly worn for more formal events. Just about any shape of pearl can be used for these earrings, whether they are round, flat, or baroque. Sometimes there is just one pearl, or there could be two or three. Gemstones are also commonly hung alongside the pearls.
