Led Zeppelin 2 was the first I ever
bought for myself when I was 9. This expanded my record collection
to a total of 3, along with Steppenwolf's "At Your Birthday"
and Disney's Haunted House.
Who is your all-time favorite
band?
Because of the incredible impact
they made on a very young and confused KR, I'll have to say
KISS. U2 is also at the top of my list…as well as Queen,
Black Sabbath and Soundgarden. It's really not a fair question!
Who / where / when was the first
concert you ever attended?
My wonderful Mom use to take me
to concerts when I was still very young….we saw bands like
America and Little River Band…full on 70's! My dad took
me to see the original KISS in '79 at the L.A. Forum…it
was life-changing!

Fave singer: It's another tie between
Freddie Mercury, Chris Cornell and Chaka Khan. Fave guitarist:
Ace Frehley…..I'd say Joe Perry or Angus Young but those
guys never wore space suits!
Who or what inspired you to
play guitar/sing?
It happened pretty early on for me
and I think it was a combination of listening to records, AM
radio and getting an electric guitar for Christmas.
What's the best record you've
heard in the last 12 months?
I like the new U2….and Incubus.
What is the band's writing process?
What influences the lyrical content?
A song usually starts out either
with a guitar riff or chord progression and a melody in my head.
From there I write down lyric ideas. I've always been influenced
by lyrics that make you feel something….whether it's inspiration
or desperation….honest lyrics.
If you weren’t a musician,
what other profession would you like to pursue?
I think it would have to do with
music….writing, producing. When I was a kid I wanted to
own a record store….I kinda still do.
What are your interests outside
of music (hobbies, passions, etc.)
I'm trying to have a life outside
of music…but it's hard. I guess I'd like to act or play
hockey.
